WHAT IS GOLDEN GATE ART & NATURE DOING TO IMPLEMENT ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS IN OUR Fall 2020 CAMPS?

FAQ

Why did we decide to offer Fall 2020 Camps and classes?

We made the decision to run Fall Camps based on our communication with the San Francisco Department of Health and reviewing systems that we can do everyday to prevent the spread of COVID-19.  We have almost 2000 square feet in our Art Studio.  We will limit each camp to just 12 children.  Social distancing within the Art studio will be a part  of camp. There are 3 different rooms that the children can explore with a set number of children assigned to each room: 6 large in  room, 4 in middle room, 2 in back sunny room. Our Nature portion of camp is held at Park Presidio and we will adventure to areas where our camp will explore without encountering other groups.

Van rides will also have a seat space between each child.

All children and staff must be in good health and have no cold or sick symptoms  to attend camp. We take daily temperatures (non-contact thermometers) followed by an awesome sticker.

All Drop-off and pick-ups will reflect social distancing.  We will make it fun!

Goals for Keeping it Clean:

* We have hired a new cleaning team that will disinfect  all surfaces of the Art Studio. They will clean the art studio and use EPA REGISTERED DISINFECTANTS. The solutions leave no harmful residues behind.  The Disinfectant products are EPA-Registered and meet the EPA's current criteria for use against SARS-COVID-2. THE ART STUDIO SURFACES WILL BE DISINFECTED AFTER EVERY DAY OF CAMP By  THE TEAM OF PROFESSIONAL CLEANERS.

* Frequent “Hand washing” with water and soap for every participating camper and staff.

* Staff will wipe- off and keep the environment clean using a solution of “Method”(brand name) & Rubbing Alcohol blend.

* Grown ups that are dropping off or picking up at the Art STudio will pick up on the sidewalk or staff will bring your child out to your car.

THE STUDIO & VAN WILL BE DISINFECTED BETWEEN GROUPS.

* Staff are all in the process of being trained on how and when to put on gloves and then properly remove them.

* Staff are all in the process of being trained on how and when masks must be worn.

* Children will not be sharing food with each other.

* Groups of children will stay with the same staff members during camp. If there are two camps during a week they will not overlap and areas will be disinfected between studio and van usage. One group would be outdoors while the other group would be in the Art Studio.

What if a child gets sick while they are at camp?

They will be in an isolated comfortable room with a staff member and their parents/caregiver will be contacted so they can go home.
Exit the back way at pick up.
Staff members will change clothes and wash hands before returning to the group.

I welcome your feedback and will update this information on a regular basis.
